Antenatal care is the care you get from healthcare professionals to ensure you have a healthy pregnancy.
Antenatal care will include regular appointments with a midwife, ultrasound scans and screening tests for you and your baby. Occasionally you will be offered appointments with an obstetrician (doctor who specialises in pregnancy and birth)
Community Midwives
There’s strong evidence that booking in with your community midwife as early as possible will help you and your baby to stay happy and healthy. Your community midwife can also provide lots of information, answer your questions and help you to book appointments for things like scans.
Our local midwife holds antenatal clinics at the Buttercup Centre in Warndon.
